Based on our long term experience, especially in the areas eBusiness Applications, Payments, Mobile Transactions and Trust Services, we meet all technical and methodical requirements which may occur during complex projects. We have proven our competence in numerous projects.
Selected projects:
Development of an ePayment strategy
The market for online payment systems is changing rapidly. Online banks need to establish an overall strategy in order to be successful in this market.
Postbank AG chose NOVOSEC AG to develop a company-wide ePayment strategy. The project included the analysis of the business and marketing/sales aspects of several ePayments available at the market and the technical aspects integrating the products into Postbank's IT infrastructure.
Design, development and setup of a certificate management system for an internal PKI
HypoVereinsbank AG wanted to provide its internal and external staff with digital certificates. In order to do this NOVOSEC designed, developped and integrated a certificate management system that controls the processes for issuing, suspending, unsuspending and revoking certificates.
The certificate management system controls the workflow control according to the defined use cases and has interfaces towards the certificate autority (CA) at TC TrustCenter as well as towards the internal host systems. The project consisted of:
- Project management
- Definition of workflows and interfaces to issue and manage the certificates
- Definition of Use Cases
- Conception of a Registration Authority incl. role model and entitlement concept
- Development of the Registration Authority
- Implementation of the system into the test environment
- Conduction of functional and acceptance tests
- Integration into HypoVereinsbank's data center
MoSign
The MoSign initiative, initiated by the leading German banks with involvement of leading technology companies (like Microsoft, Siemens, ...), specifies a security platform for mobile online applications (especially mobile payment) with electronic signatures.
Within the scope of the MoSign initiative NOVOSEC has taken the central supervision and coordination of the individual activities. NOVOSEC also produced whitepapers concerning MoSign's strategy. In addition NOVOSEC AG developed, operated and supported the organisatorial framework (Web Server with public and private area).
E-Government Manual
In the frame of the federal initiative BundOnline 2005, the BSI (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik) is publishing the E-Government Manual. The consortium NOVOSEC and Fraunhofer Institut extended the E-Government Manual and developped the two modules "Encryption and Signatures - Basic principles and usage aspects" and "Authentication in E-Government - Authentication mechanisms and areas of application". The authentication module is intended to be a guideline for E-Government coordinators to select the appropriate authentication mechanisms.
