In context of every IT-project it is necessary to consider special requirements and conditions of already
established customers' IT-infrastructures. Therefore it is necessary to perform a requirements analysis,
which identifies and evaluates the crucial parameters like scalability, reliability, load behaviour, security
and flexibility (adaptability on already existing infrastructures), before a specific offering or solution
is selected.
A well planned, structured and documented integration secures the usability of the application also on a
long-term basis. In order to make changes on the IT-infrastructure easily a high level of flexibility has
to be met already during integration.
You can profit from the long-term experience of our technical consultants, who accomplished integrations of
security relevant applications into complex IT-infrastructures for several major banks. As an external and
independent integration partner, we can ensure to select and to establish the best suitable solution for your
IT infrastructure.
Integration into existing infrastructures
Before acquisition of new applications the compatibility with already established infrastructures as well as
the internal safety guidelines must be examined, since otherwise cost-intensive adjustments and maintenance
work can result. A rough outlining of the existing or requested IT-infrastructure should already be included
in the request for proposal sent to the vendors. The resulting offers are more transparent, because there are
no hidden costs for complex adjustments during the integration.

A complete installation package
The final software package from the integration partner should, in addition to the application, contain all
dependent components such as patchlevels/servicepacks, all necessary libraries and system configurations,
in order to provide the option to reinstall the software without any troubles. A complete installation package
should presuppose only the standard computer centre configuration of the respective customer.
Automated installation
In case of a severe system failure or an IT infrastructure reorganisation it is advantageous to have an
automated installation process which receives all customized parameters from an external data source like
a data base or a configuration file. Necessary changes in the configuration e.g. host names, IP addresses
or proxies are administered centrally, in order to ensure a simple migration.
For any further information do not hesitate to contact us.
Documentation of the integration
A complete documentation of the integration (overview of involved instances e.g. host interfaces, firewalls,
proxies and data bases) forms a solid basis for a low-maintenance application. Thus possibly occurring trouble
during operation can be identified and eliminated by the maintenance staff more easily. Incompletely documented
software dependencies usually result in long system breakdowns, because the trouble is usually not directly
caused by the particular application.
For us, documentation is no annoying compulsory exercise but a naturally part of a high-quality integration.
Quality assurance/acceptance test/production
Before an application becomes publicly available, it is recommended to provide a quality assurance environment
which contains all the essential structures (firewalls, proxies, data bases, etc.). Within this environment
the integration and fine tuning can be done safely. After a successful integration into the quality assurance
environment the acceptance tests can be performed directly. The integration into the real (productive)
IT-environment can usually be done by the customer himself, since only the configuration parameters of the
automated installation must be adapted for the real IT-infrastructure.
