Within the scope of market analyses market potentials, market figures, competitors and their market position are determined, which will give you information about the prospective revenues of new offerings. Based on external and company internal constraints the concrete positioning and approach to the specific market segments will be derived.
Target Group Analysis
A detailed target group analysis provides the raw data for the implementation of concrete steps. Successful market development and adequate market penetration can only be achieved with products and services which are target group compliant. Based on existing customer structures and the strategic orientation in the respective segments, steps for the acquiring of customers and for the customer loyalty can be derived.
Conception
Business Models, Cost Benefit Analysis
Based on the comprehensive analysis calculations for the business model of the planned application / service will be performed. According to the available market and company data different assumptions (best-case, worst-case) will be taken and their plausibility will be tested thoroughly. Together with the customer a detailed cost benefit analysis is developed which will be the basis for a risk-reward rating of the project.
Risk-reward rating - Feasibility study
A global risk-reward rating results from the comparison and benchmarking of the relevant alternatives. In doing so the various possible actions are analysed and described e. g. in form of a SWOT-Analysis (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats). In case additional information is needed for a professional judgement, this will be gained from feasibility studies giving detailed information about potential risks and rewards.
Application and Process Modelling
For the integration of the new service / product its application logic will be modelled in consideration of the existing portfolio and procedures. The reuse of established processes and techniques generates positive effects in terms of cost and time savings. The potential reuse effect is also taken into account when new parts of the application are designed.
Marketing and Sales Concepts
Marketing and sales concepts for the products or services are developed using an integrated approach: Within a competitors analysis the activities of the competitors are described, whereas a market situation analysis forecasts the development of the own product compared with the competitors' products. In compliance with the overall sales strategy of the company marketing channels will be selected, sales targets are derived and related marketing activities will be defined.
Due Diligence
During projects the question often turns up whether self-developing a new application or buying it cheaper off the shelf. To answer this question a due diligence test is needed, which can refer to the application or to a whole company. In order to obtain a comprehensive judgement these activities require stringently an overall understanding of product, technique and market.
